Thank you for joining ZONC Forums, the premier forum for The Z Owners of Northern California Group(Z.O.N.C.)

In order to achieve the highest level of quality in our community, we would like to establish a few basic rules for our current members.

SUMMARY

In summary, here are the rules. These rules are outlined in depth below.

1) Do not instigate drama or intentionally stir up conflict. No defamatory posts or attacks on personal issues. Show respect and general courtesy to fellow members.
2) Suggestions and user support issues should be posted in the appropriate sections.
3) Follow all of the rules defined in the classifieds forum.
4) Signatures and avatars should remain tasteful and within reasonable size.
5) Use only your own account and protect your account from use by others.

THE RULES

1) No Drama, defamatory posts, and show some respect, people:
No posts directed towards stirring up problems or encouraging fights or verbal conflicts between members. Posts contributing to this in any way are prohibited and may be removed. Do not not use this forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any privacy law. No generally mean, demeaning, or otherwise un-needed posts. Do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. This includes, but is not limited to, pornographic material. Please do not post porn because this is not the place. We can find porn on millions of other sites if we choose, but instead we choose to come to an automotive site.

If you believe that your post may be obscene or subjective in nature, please use a work warning of "NWS" in the thread title. Submitting obscene or graphic material without a work warning will be considered a violation of the forum rules.

Also, continually cursing in every post or any other form on the website including your signature or custom user title will not be tolerated. Please do not curse in thread titles. General behavior of picking on, lashing out against, or otherwise acting in a demeaning nature toward a member or group of members will not be tolerated. The use of the word "ricer" in a demeaning nature is considered a rule violation. This forum does not agree with nor will it promote racism, sexism, or any other negative "ism" that puts down a minority or group of members. Please adjust your posts accordingly. Hateful behavior is at the discretion of the moderating team.

Threats against any member will not be tolerated and will be immediately reported to the Police. You will not make any references to any sort of threat, physical or otherwise, on this forum. This could lead to immediate banning.

2) Suggestions & User Support:
- Post suggestions & support issues in the "User Support & Suggestions" section only.
- If you have a problem with something other than a suggestion or support issue, PM a moderator or administrator. Don't post it in a thread elsewhere. It will be removed.
- If you don't wish to post a suggestion or support issue to the entire forum, PM a moderator or administrator.
- If you have a problem with a moderator or administrator PM them directly, or PM the site administrator.
- Do not contact forum representatives outside the forum by any means.

3) Classifieds:
- Fill out your profile before posting an ad.
- No trolling the Classifieds.
- List your ad once. Do not relist the same ad multiple times.
- Do not post Classified Ads in other parts of the forum.
- Transactions are your responsibility, not that of ZONC Forums. We will not be liable for any losses as a result of your transaction, nor will we assist in tracking down a fraudulent party.

4) Keep signature’s and avatars tasteful:
No sexually explicit or derogatory signatures or avatars. Sigs are to be no taller than 125 pixels and no wider than 500 pixels. While you may enjoy photos of girls with their stuff hanging out, many others don't wish to view it. Please don't use avatars with cussing or any of the like. Keep it tasteful, please.

5) Account Usage:
Each user may use only one account on ZONC Forums. There should be no duplicate accounts. Furthermore, each user may only use his or her own account on ZONC Forums. No user should allow any other user or non-user to use his or her account. Failure to comply will result in below punishment.

These rules are here for a reason. We are not trying to limit your posting experience or hold you back in any way. Our goal is to make this an accessible and friendly forum for all members, one that is geared towards discussion amongst fellow automotive enthusiasts. These rules are in addition to the waiver you agreed to. While they do not act as the sole set of rules, we ask that you do act like an adult and use discretion when posting information to this bulletin board. No persons under 13 may join this forum. As such, we do not expect to deal with nor will we tolerate behavior that we saw in middle school. We ask that you first use your head before posting.

PENALTIES

Those who break the rules will face a set of penalties. Those penalties are as follows:

First infraction: Warning
Second Infraction: 7 day ban
Third Infraction: 30 day ban
Fourth Infraction: Permanent ban

Any member who is found to be in violation of multiple rules at one time may have his or her penalty escalated at the discretion of the moderating team. Typically, this escalation will follow this path:

Two offenses at one time: 1 day ban
Three offenses at one time: 7 day ban
Four offenses at one time: 30 day ban
Five or more offenses at one time: Permanent ban

This system is fair and will be moderated as such. You receive four chances before you can no longer post on this forum. This is much more than other forums may allow. Please keep in mind that this system is in place for those who are not habitual offenders of the rules. Thus, banning, moderation, etc., is at the discretion of the moderating and administration team of 350Z Forums.
